Roles & Responsibilities

• Clean and decontaminate surgical instruments and medical equipment according to manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFU).
• Inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical devices.
• Operate automated washers, ultrasonic cleaners, cart washers, and sterilizers according to manufacturer IFUs.
• Inspect surgical instruments during tray assembly to ensure cleanliness, proper function, and completeness.
• Prepare surgical case carts for scheduled, add-on, and emergency procedures.
• Ensure instruments and supplies are available to support surgical procedures in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate department cleaning logs and product out-date records.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of sterile processing areas.
• Communicate effectively with surgical staff and other healthcare team members regarding instrument and supply needs.
• Follow hospital infection prevention, safety, and quality standards.
• Perform additional sterile processing duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Central Sterile/Sterile Processing experience.
• Prior travel experience required.
• CBSPD or HSPA certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong knowledge of instrument decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization.
• Experience following manufacturer IFUs.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Must be comfortable working call, late stays, and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
