Sterile Processing Technician

Always Health Institute, a private career school, is seeking an experienced healthcare professional or instructional designer to develop a Sterile Processing Technician training program curriculum.

This is a short-term, project-based contract to design and develop the academic framework required to launch a Sterile Processing Technician program. The selected individual will create structured curriculum materials that prepare students for entry-level roles in sterile processing and central service departments.

This role is strictly curriculum development and program design and does not include teaching responsibilities.

Project Scope

The contractor will be responsible for developing:

• A complete program curriculum outline
• Course descriptions and program objectives
• Detailed syllabi for each course/module
• Structured lesson plans
• Skills competencies and assessment tools
• Lab and practical training requirements
• Recommended textbooks, supplies, and equipment
• Curriculum aligned with industry standards and certification preparation (such as Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution guidelines)

The curriculum should prepare students for entry-level sterile processing roles in hospitals and surgical centers.

Qualifications

• Experience working in sterile processing OR
• Experience developing sterile processing training programs
• Prior curriculum development experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with sterile processing standards and best practices
• Ability to meet project timelines
• Timeline and payment structure will be discussed during the interview process
