Sterile Processing Technician

The Sterile Processing Technician supports surgical teams by preparing, cleaning, sterilizing, and delivering medical and surgical instruments and supplies. They operate equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners, manage inventory, and track sterilization processes using multiple computer applications. Under supervision, they ensure all instruments are properly sterilized and ready for procedures.

Qualifications include certification as a Central Processing Technician (CRCST) within 18 months, with preferred experience in handling surgical instrumentation, medical terminology knowledge, and patient-centered communication skills. The role involves frequent lifting of 25 pounds or more and adaptability to unpredictable perioperative situations.

The position is full-time , nonexempt, with scheduled hours including days, evenings, and on-call rotations, and may require occasional travel. Compensation ranges from $22.73 to $32.26 per hour, with comprehensive benefits. The role emphasizes a patient-focused environment, teamwork, and adherence to safety and sterilization standards.
