Sterilization Processing Technician (6 months)

About the role

Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) is looking for a meticulous and dedicated Sterile Processing Technician for a six-month assignment . You will ensure that medical devices and flexible endoscopes are carefully cleaned, inspected, disinfected and sterilized, enabling healthcare professionals to work safely.

What you will do

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing medical devices and designated flexible endoscopes in accordance with established protocols;
• Inspecting, assembling, disassembling and maintaining complex surgical instruments, and identifying and reporting technical defects;
• Preparing instrument sets, checking them for completeness, defects and expiry dates, and packaging them in accordance with applicable standards;
• Setting up equipment correctly and recording relevant data and deviations;
• Coordinating tasks with colleagues and working carefully during both routine and emergency procedures;
• Keeping work areas and materials tidy and hygienic;
• Contributing your expertise to improvements in work processes, procedures and protocols.

Who you are

• You have knowledge equivalent to the Dutch MBO Level 3 qualification in Sterile Medical Device Processing;
• You have knowledge of resuscitation procedures;
• You work with exceptional accuracy, order and hygiene, and handle materials and equipment with care;
• You are practical, risk-aware, helpful and a supportive team member;
• You can maintain concentration for extended periods and cope with peak workloads, prolonged walking and standing;
• You are proficient in Dutch and have a basic command of English. Papiamentu is a pre.
