Sterilization Technician

The position supports the dental clinical team by cleaning and disinfecting treatment areas, processing and sterilizing dental instruments, maintaining sterilization equipment and supplies, and ensuring compliance with infection control and safety standards. Responsibilities

• Receive, clean, disinfect, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments according to office policies and infection-control standards.
• Operate sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and statims as assigned.
• Perform and document required sterilization monitoring and testing.
• Maintain accurate sterilization logs and records.
• Inspect sterilized instruments and packages for cleanliness, integrity, and proper processing.
• Maintain sterilization equipment and report any malfunction or concerns to the supervisor.
• Thoroughly clean and disinfect dental treatment rooms between patients and at the end of each day.
• Ensure treatment rooms are clean, organized, sanitary, and ready for patient care.
• Clean and disinfect equipment and surfaces according to manufacturer instructions and office infection-control procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous dental office, sterilization, healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic infection-control practices preferred.
• Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
