Sterlization Technician

We are seeking experienced Sterilization Technicians to join our friendly and professional dental team. This role plays a key part in ensuring our clinic operates smoothly and safely by maintaining the highest standards of infection control, sterilization, and clinical support.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental clinical procedures and be confident in supporting our dentists chairside when required.

This position is full-time inclusive of Saturday and Sundays.

Key Responsibilities

Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention and control standards.

Operate and maintain autoclaves and other sterilization equipment.

Monitor sterilization cycles, maintain accurate sterilization records, and ensure all compliance protocols are met.

Prepare and set up instrument trays and materials for dental procedures.

Assist chairside with dental procedures when required, ensuring efficiency and patient comfort.

Maintain stock levels of clinical supplies and support the clinical team with day-to-day operations.

Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.

About You:

Must hold a New Zealand Certificate in Sterilising Technology (Level 4) or provide proof of enrolment in the 2026 course. Please note that the course fees will be the responsibility of the applicant, not the company.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a clinical dental setting that involved sterilizing and reprocessing instruments and equipment.

Knowledge of infection prevention and control (NZDA and MOH standards preferred).

Experience in chairside assisting with dentists is required.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Team-oriented with good communication and time management skills.
