Steward Captain/AM-Service

Job Summary

We are looking for a courteous, energetic and customer-focused Waiter / Steward/Captain/Assistant Manager to provide excellent dining service to guests. The candidate will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining table cleanliness, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and assist them with seating as required.
• Present menus, explain dishes, and recommend food and beverage options.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while following restaurant service standards.
• Check on guests during their meals and promptly address basic requests.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and captain to ensure timely service.
• Set up tables, arrange cutlery, crockery, glassware and napkins.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the dining area and service stations.
• Follow food safety, personal hygiene and grooming standards.
• Handle guest complaints politely and escalate unresolved issues to the captain.
• Generate or assist with bills and ensure accurate order delivery.
• Support opening, closing and side-work activities.
• Follow restaurant policies, standard operating procedures and service etiquette.

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: 10th or 12th pass; hospitality training is an advantage.
• Prior restaurant, caf or hotel experience preferred; freshers may be considered.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Polite, presentable and customer-oriented personality.
• Ability to work in shifts, on weekends and during public holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Basic understanding of menu items, order taking and table service.
