Steward

Tazeen Restaurant is looking for hardworking, responsible, and team-oriented individuals to join our pre-opening team as Steward at Kulim Avenue, Kedah, specializing in Northern Indian Mughlai & Malay cuisine. We are seeking candidates who are committed to maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and smooth kitchen support operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

As a Steward, you will play an important role in ensuring cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas while supporting the kitchen and service teams in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and clean kitchen utensils, dishes, cutlery, and cooking equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen, storage, and back-of-house areas
• Dispose of waste and maintain proper garbage handling procedures
• Assist in organizing kitchen equipment and supplies
• Ensure proper cleaning and sanitization procedures are followed
• Support kitchen and service teams during busy operations
• Refill cleaning supplies and report maintenance issues when necessary
• Assist in receiving and storing supplies properly
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards at all times
• Assist management during pre-opening setup and operational preparations

Requirements

• Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent
• Previous stewarding or kitchen cleaning experience is an advantage
• Physically fit and able to handle cleaning duties
• Responsible, disciplined, and hardworking
• Positive attitude and able to work in a team environment
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Able to travel to or relocate to Kulim, Kedah

Pay: From RM1,700.00 per month

• Kulim: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
