About the role

The Steward & Housekeeping (Production) is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene standards within the bakery and pastry production areas. This role ensures that all kitchen equipment, utensils, workstations, and production environments remain clean, organized, and compliant with food safety and hygiene standards. The position also supports smooth production operations by ensuring tools and workspaces are consistently ready for use.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all bakery and pastry production areas
• Wash and sanitize all production utensils, trays, molds, and equipment
• Ensure proper cleaning of sinks, floors, drains, and work surfaces
• Dispose of waste and maintain proper garbage segregation
• Follow hygiene and sanitation SOPs in accordance with food safety standards
• Ensure all production tools and equipment are cleaned and returned to designated storage areas
• Maintain organized storage of trays, racks, utensils, and containers
• Support production teams by preparing clean equipment before production shifts
• Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the Production Supervisor
• Maintain general housekeeping within production facilities including floors, walls, shelves, and storage areas

About you

• Minimum High School education or equivalent
• Experience in kitchen stewarding, housekeeping, or food production cleaning preferred
• Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards
• Physically capable of performing cleaning and lifting tasks
• Disciplined, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
