Steward Supervisor

Job Summary

Assists the Chief Steward in supervising the daily operational and administrative functions of the Stewarding department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, are consistently maintained within all kitchen areas, food production facilities, dish rooms, and back-of-house spaces.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Kitchen Sanitation & Safety: Supervises general cleaning across all kitchens and work areas, keeping floors clean and dry to actively prevent workplace accidents.

2. Warewashing & Inventory Management: Oversees dishwashing and glass-washing to minimize breakage, ensuring sufficient cutlery, chinaware, and equipment are polished, organized, and staged ahead of service and banquet events.

3. Waste Management & Maintenance: Manages the prompt removal of garbage, recycling, and food waste while inspecting equipment and reporting malfunctions immediately for repair.

4. Staff Training: Trains and guides staff on safety protocols, chemical handling, and proper machinery operation.
