About the role

We are seeking an experienced Stewarding Supervisor to join our team in Fortitude Valley on a full-time basis. This is a key operational role responsible for leading and managing the stewarding team to ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. As Stewarding Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations within the stewarding department, supervise staff performance, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. This role is integral to supporting our kitchen and front-of-house teams, enabling them to deliver exceptional service to our guests.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and managing the stewarding team, including scheduling, training, and performance management
• Overseeing the cleaning, sanitisation, and maintenance of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining ware
• Ensuring all stewarding operations comply with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
• Monitoring inventory levels and ordering cleaning supplies and materials as required
• Implementing and maintaining cleaning schedules and protocols across all areas
• Training team members on proper cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures
• Conducting regular quality inspections to ensure standards are consistently met
• Troubleshooting equipment issues and coordinating maintenance when necessary
• Liaising with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless operations
• Maintaining accurate records of cleaning activities, inventory, and staff performance
• Contributing to a positive team culture and supporting staff development

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or stewarding environment
• A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
• Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
• Well presented, with pride in personal and team standards
• Flexible and reliable, with availability to work across a 7 day roster
