Stock and Procurement Administrator

About the company:

Akarana Timbers is an independent Building supplies merchant and Prenail manufacturer with multiple locations nationwide. As a member of the United Industries Group, with Akarana Timbers, you will be joining one of the largest group of companies supplying, manufacturing and installing products for the New Zealand Residential and Commercial building and construction markets. This position would be based in Auckland at our East Tamaki location.

Start date: Early January 2027

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate with suppliers to obtain updated pricing and product information
• Work with branches to manage stock code updates and product transfers, ensuring data accuracy
• Track and implement supplier price increases within Exonet
• Identify and match old stock codes to new ones accurately
• Update bin locations and create new stock codes as requested by team members
• Assist with building supplier-specific templates for bulk code uploads, including weights, barcodes, pricing categories, and product groupings
• Support the Inventory/Stock Procurement Manager with additional administrative tasks as required

What We’re Looking For:

• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Confident and capable with Microsoft Excel (e.g. managing spreadsheets, using formulas, formatting data) Intermediate to advanced level
• Strong knowledge of trade and building supply products
• Proactive communicator, able to work collaboratively with suppliers, branches, and internal teams
• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with ERP systems (ideally Exonet) is an advantage
