Stock Controller

Job Purpose

As a Stockroom Controller at GUESS, you are responsible for managing stockroom operations, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring products are organised and readily available to support the sales team and deliver an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock Management: Receive, check, and process deliveries, ensuring all items match delivery notes and purchase orders.
• Stockroom Organisation: Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised stockroom, ensuring products are stored correctly and efficiently.
• Inventory Control: Conduct regular stock counts, transfers, and stock checks to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Loss Prevention: Monitor stock movements and follow company procedures to minimise stock loss, damage, and discrepancies.
• Replenishment: Ensure the shop floor is replenished promptly, keeping products available in the correct sizes, colours, and styles.
• Team Support: Work closely with sales associates, supervisors, and management to meet daily sales and operational targets.
• Visual Merchandising Support: Assist with maintaining product availability and supporting shop-floor standards in line with GUESS brand guidelines.
• Delivery Processing: Unpack, label, tag, and prepare merchandise for sale according to company procedures.
• Stock Transfers and Returns: Process inter-store transfers, customer returns, and damaged goods accurately.
• Health and Safety: Follow all health and safety procedures and ensure stock is stored safely.
• Time Management: Prioritise deliveries, replenishment, and stockroom tasks during busy trading periods.

Skills and Requirements

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Previous experience in retail stock control or a stockroom environment is desirable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, fashion retail environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle deliveries and move stock safely.
• Understanding of inventory management and loss-prevention procedures.
• Flexibility to support the store during busy periods, weekends, and seasonal sales.

Pay: £29,120.00-£31,000.00 per year
