STOCK CUSTODIAN

Store Location: Poblacion 2, Sto. Tomas, Batangas

We’re looking for a Stock Custodian to take charge of the warehouse stock pool—from receiving deliveries to transferring inventory to the shop floor, handling returns, and ensuring accurate records.

This role is responsible for keeping our physical inventory, inventory records, and warehouse operations accurate and organized.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Receiving

• Receive and verify deliveries against POs and DRs
• Check quantity, quality, expiry dates, packaging, and temperature of chilled/frozen goods
• Document and escalate damaged, short, substituted, or non-conforming deliveries
• Record all receipts in the inventory system on the day of receipt

Warehouse & Storage

• Store products in the correct dry, chilled, frozen, and non-food zones
• Apply FEFO/FIFO and maintain proper product organization
• Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures and maintain cold-chain standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and pest-ready warehouse

Inventory Transfers

• Process stock transfers between the warehouse and shop floor
• Ensure transfers are properly recorded and signed by both the releasing and receiving parties
• Process shop floor returns using the same transfer controls
• Monitor top-selling SKUs and flag persistent stock gaps

Inventory Accuracy

• Conduct scheduled warehouse cycle counts and monthly physical counts
• Reconcile physical stock against system records
• Investigate and explain inventory variances with supporting evidence
• Maintain near-expiry, slow-moving, and dead-stock lists
• Independently counter-check shop floor inventory as scheduled

Expiry, Waste & Disposal

• Identify and report near-expiry products
• Segregate expired, damaged, or recalled stock
• Ensure disposal is properly authorized, documented, and signed

Records & Reporting

• Maintain receiving, transfer, temperature, inventory count, and disposal records
• Submit weekly inventory, near-expiry, and waste reports
• Report supply gaps, cold-chain issues, equipment problems, and suspected stock discrepancies early

Shop Floor Support

• Assist the shop floor during peak periods when directed by the Store Lead
• Support beverage and food service, bagging, queue management, customer assistance, and replenishment
• Cashiering is not part of this role.
• Warehouse receiving, inventory counts, transfers, and cold-chain responsibilities remain the priority.

REQUIREMENTS

• Senior High School graduate
• At least 1 year of experience in warehouse, stockroom, inventory, or receiving work
• Good counting, reconciliation, and variance-reporting skills
• Able to use an inventory system and basic spreadsheets
• Valid food handler’s health certificate or willing to obtain one before starting
• Physically able to lift and move stock and work in chilled/freezer areas
• Willing to work extended hours on delivery days and inventory count schedules

PREFERRED

• Experience with FEFO and cold-chain handling
• Food safety, GMP, or warehouse sanitation training
• Forklift or pallet truck certification
• Resident of Sto. Tomas or a nearby Batangas municipality
