Stock Inventory Controller

Role & responsibilities

• Coordinate stock control operations with warehouse, sales, purchasing, and finance departments.
• Enter shipping, receiving, and inventory data accurately into the computer system.
• Utilize the company's inventory management software to receive and check incoming products.
• Compare deliveries against outstanding purchase orders and verify that orders are complete.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify products and supplies that require replenishment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory and stock management records.
• Analyse supply chain and inventory data to ensure uninterrupted availability of stock.
• Manage purchase orders for incoming equipment, services, materials, and supplies.
• Coordinate with the purchasing team regarding missing, incorrect, or incomplete deliveries.
• Communicate with vendors regarding damaged, missing, or incorrect products.
• Oversee stock storage processes, including tagging, boxing, labelling, and proper organization of inventory.
• Forecast supply and demand to minimize overstocking and prevent out-of-stock situations.
• Verify receipts and confirm that delivered products match the purchase order and required quantities.
• Monitor stock movement and ensure inventory transactions are properly recorded.
• Support regular inventory checks and reconciliation of physical stock against system records.
• Ensure stock control procedures are followed according to company standards and established processes.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Controller, Inventory Coordinator, or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
• Strong understanding of stock control, purchasing, receiving, storage, and replenishment processes.
• Experience working with inventory management or stock control software.
• Strong data entry and record-keeping skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
