About the role

Katrin BJ Sdn Bhd is seeking a Stock Take Audit Assistant to join our Accounting department on a full-time basis. This role is based in Subang Jaya, Selangor and offers an excellent opportunity to develop your internal audit skills within a dynamic organisation. As a Stock Take Audit Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records through systematic stock taking and audit procedures. This position is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in internal audit and gain practical experience in stock management and verification processes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in conducting regular stock take audits and physical inventory counts across company locations
• Verify inventory records against physical stock, identifying and documenting discrepancies
• Prepare detailed stock take reports and audit documentation for management review
• Support the audit team in performing reconciliation of inventory accounts and general ledger records
• Perform sampling procedures and analytical reviews on inventory data
• Maintain accurate audit working papers and maintain organised records of all audit activities
• Liaise with operational staff to gather information and clarify inventory-related queries
• Assist in developing and improving stock take procedures and audit checklists
• Support compliance with internal audit standards and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

• Completed or currently pursuing a qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software packages
• Sound understanding of inventory management and audit principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Previous experience in stock take, inventory audit or internal audit (preferred but not essential)
• Familiarity with auditing standards and procedures is advantageous
