Stocker / Cashier

Duties

• Restock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure products are accessible and visually appealing
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Provide product demos and upselling opportunities to enhance customer experience and increase sales
• Assist customers with questions, product selections, and store navigation using excellent communication skills
• Maintain proper cash handling procedures and perform basic retail math to ensure transaction accuracy
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring stock levels meet store standards
• Uphold phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring professional interactions

Experience

• Prior retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
• Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and cash handling is essential
• Strong communication skills coupled with excellent customer service abilities are vital for success
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations and transaction accuracy are required
• Experience conducting product demos or upselling can help boost sales performance
