Responsibilities

• Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are neatly displayed and inventory is accurately replenished
• Operate the cash register, handling retail sales transactions with precision and speed
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries, product demos, and locating items
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including merchandising displays and stock areas
• Manage cash handling duties, including cash drawer balancing and POS (Point of Sale) system operations
• Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities
• Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or store calls
• Support supervisory staff by supervising team members during shifts and assisting in training new employees

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions
• Strong cashiering skills with basic math proficiency for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities preferred for serving diverse customers
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and merchandising techniques
• Experience in supervising or leading team members is a plus
• Ability to perform stocking duties efficiently while maintaining safety standards
• Customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Familiarity with upselling strategies to increase sales and promote products effectively
• Professional phone etiquette for customer interactions over the phone or in person
