Duties

• Operate the cash register efficiently, handling retail sales transactions with accuracy using POS (Point of Sale) systems.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.
• Encouraging upsells and offer assistance with locating items.
• Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure a clean, attractive store environment that promotes convenience store product knowledge.
• Handle cash drawer operations with integrity, maintaining accurate cash handling and balancing registers at shift end.
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring inventory levels are maintained through stocking activities.

Experience

• Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-focused attitude are key!
• Supervising experience is a plus, especially if it involved training team members or overseeing daily store operations.
• Bilingual skills are highly valued to better serve diverse customer needs.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations will help you succeed quickly.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are essential for this energetic role.
• Basic math skills are necessary for accurate cash handling and retail transactions.
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and merchandising techniques will enhance your ability to assist customers effectively.

Pay: $14.50 - $15.00 per hour
