Stockman

About the role

The Stockman / Kitchen Helper is responsible for assisting with the receiving, checking, storing, and organizing of stocks, ingredients, and kitchen supplies. The role also supports daily kitchen operations through food preparation assistance, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, monitoring inventory, and ensuring that supplies are properly stored and readily available when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect deliveries to ensure the quantity, quality, and condition of items meet requirements.
• Assist in storing and organizing stocks, ingredients, and kitchen supplies in designated areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and report low stocks, damaged items, or discrepancies.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and other kitchen tasks as needed.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and stock rotation using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the stockroom, kitchen, and storage areas.
• Follow proper food handling, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist in inventory counting and stock replenishment.
• Handle supplies and equipment carefully to prevent damage and wastage.

About you

• At least a High School Graduate or Senior High School Graduate.
• Knowledge or experience as a Kitchen Helper or in stock handling is an advantage.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, and arranging stocks and supplies.
• Willing to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of proper stock storage, FIFO, and inventory handling is an advantage.
• Hardworking, organized, responsible, and detail-oriented.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Able to work well with the kitchen team and follow instructions from supervisors.
