Stone Assorter

We are looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented Stone Assorter to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for sorting and inspecting natural stones based on size, colour, quality, shape, finish, and other specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort and segregate stones according to size, colour, quality, shape, and grade.
• Inspect stones for cracks, chips, discoloration, defects, and other quality issues.
• Separate acceptable and defective stones as per company quality standards.
• Ensure proper handling and stacking of stones to prevent damage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Follow production, quality, and workplace safety procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other team members regarding sorting and quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate records or counts of sorted material when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in stone sorting, stone processing, marble, granite, or a similar industry is preferred.
• Good observation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to identify differences in stone quality, colour, size, and finish.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a production/stone-processing environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
• Willingness to follow safety and quality standards.
