Stone Fabricator

We are looking for an experienced Stone Fabricator to join our team. We are looking for someone who has hands-on countertop fabrication experience and can produce quality work with minimal supervision.

The right person should be dependable, detail-oriented, take pride in their craftsmanship, and have a strong understanding of the stone fabrication process.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate stone countertops according to measurements and job specifications
• Read and understand shop drawings and measurements
• Accurately measure, mark, and lay out material
• Perform sink cutouts and other cutouts
• Fabricate and polish edges
• Perform mitered edges and laminations
• Perform custom fabrication and specialty edge work
• Work with granite, quartz, quartzite, porcelain, and other countertop materials
• Operate saws, polishers, grinders, and hand tools
• Safely handle and move large slabs and finished pieces
• Inspect finished work for accuracy, quality, and proper finish
• Identify and correct fabrication issues
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all shop safety procedures and PPE requirements

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience in stone countertop fabrication
• Strong knowledge of stone fabrication techniques
• Able to accurately read a tape measure
• Able to read shop drawings and follow measurements
• Experienced with cutting, polishing, edge work, sink cutouts, miters, and laminations
• Comfortable working with heavy materials
• Good attention to detail
• Comfortable using power tools and fabrication equipment
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable and able to work well with a team
• Forklift experience is a plus

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who already knows the trade and can step into the shop and get to work. You should be comfortable handling the day-to-day challenges of countertop fabrication and take pride in producing clean, accurate, high-quality work.

Experience with complex miters, radius work, custom edges, laminations, and porcelain fabrication is a plus.

Pay: $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 per week
