Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Stone Mason to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, installing, and repairing stone, brick, and concrete structures with precision and craftsmanship. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of durable, aesthetically pleasing projects such as facades, walls, pathways, and restoration work. Responsibilities

• Interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to determine project specifications and layout details.
• Cut, shape, and install stone, brick, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials using hand tools and power tools.
• Execute concrete finishing tasks including pouring, smoothing, and sealing surfaces for walls, floors, or decorative features.
• Build and dismantle masonry scaffolding safely to access work areas at various heights.
• Install rebar reinforcement within concrete forms to provide structural support according to engineering specifications.
• Perform mortar work with precision for bricklaying and stone setting to ensure strong bonds and aesthetic appeal.
• Follow safety protocols rigorously while operating heavy equipment such as mixers or lifts on construction sites.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately to meet project requirements.
• Contribute to renovation projects by restoring existing structures with appropriate masonry techniques like stucco or plastering.
• Collaborate with carpenters, metal workers, and other tradespeople during building material installation or structural modifications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in stone masonry or related construction fields with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret detailed blueprints and schematics.
• Skilled in using hand tools (trowels, chisels), power tools (drills, saws), and heavy equipment relevant to masonry work.
• Familiarity with concrete forming techniques, rebar installation, mortar mixing, and finishing methods.
• Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions for building material installation.
• Experience working on construction sites involving renovation or restoration projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to masonry work and construction site operations.
• Capable of building masonry scaffoldings safely at various heights as needed for project access.
• Additional skills such as welding, framing carpentry (including trim or metal stud framing), caulking, or heavy equipment operation are a plus.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
