Overview
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented stone shop positions to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with various materials, utilize a range of tools and machinery, and contribute to the creation of beautiful, durable stone installations. Candidates will play a vital part in the fabrication, finishing, and assembly processes that bring architectural visions to life.

Duties

• Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely for materials handling and transportation within the shop
• Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, polish, and finish stone surfaces according to project specifications
• Follow blueprint drawings and dimensional measurements precisely during fabrication and assembly
• Adhere strictly to safety standards, including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) use such as respiratory protection and safety glasses
• Perform machining, fabrication, and millwork tasks with accuracy while maintaining quality control standards
• Assist in materials handling, heavy lifting, and assembly of stone components for various projects
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

• Prior experience in fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or stonework preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
• Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations
• Proficiency with tape measures and understanding of blueprint specifications
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy machinery operation, materials handling, and stone finishing processes
• Strong attention to detail with excellent dimensional measurement skills
• Ability to follow safety regulations diligently and work effectively as part of a team

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
