Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Stonemason to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, installing and repairing stone structures with precision and craftsmanship. Your expertise will contribute to creating durable, aesthetically pleasing stonework for a variety of projects, including buildings, walls, facades, and landscaping features. Duties

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble stone materials using hand tools such as chisels, hammers, and trowels to meet project specifications
• Lay bricks, stones, and blocks with accuracy to ensure structural integrity and visual appeal
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying mortar or other bonding agents for secure installation
• Operate power tools including grinders, drills, and saws safely and efficiently to facilitate precise cuts and adjustments
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other tradespeople such as carpenters and roofers to coordinate project timelines and specifications
• Repair or restore existing stone structures by removing damaged sections and replacing them with new material
• Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment at all times

Experience

• Proven experience as a Stonemason or in a similar masonry role with a strong portfolio of completed projects
• Proficiency in using hand tools like chisels, hammers, trowels along with power tools such as grinders and saws
• Knowledge of bricklaying techniques, masonry principles, and structural requirements
• Ability to perform carpentry tasks related to framing or formwork when necessary
• Familiarity with roofing materials and techniques is a plus for integrated project work
• Experience with welding can be advantageous for specialized metalwork or reinforcement tasks
• Strong attention to detail combined with physical stamina to work on demanding construction sites

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
