Job Title: Storage & Backup Engineer

Location: Pune (Hadapsar)

Synopsis

Administers the multi-platform Dell storage estate (PowerMax, VMAX, PowerStore, Unity 9 arrays) and enterprise backup/recovery operations, including scheduled restore testing and compliance reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provisioning, capacity and performance management for storage
• Backup policy and job management
• Restore/recovery operations and scheduled restore testing
• Firmware/microcode/ePack patching

Required Skills

• Dell PowerMax, VMAX, PowerStore and Unity administration
• SAN/NAS provisioning and configuration
• Enterprise backup software administration (e.g., NetBackup/Networker or equivalent)
• Replication configuration and monitoring (e.g., SRDF or equivalent)
• Scheduled restore testing and compliance reporting

Certifications

Mandatory

• Demonstrable multi-platform Dell storage administration experience

Preferred / Advantageous

• Proven Dell EMC Professional (storage specialization)
• Backup vendor certification

Soft Skills & Attributes

• Rigour in compliance and restore-testing documentation
• Careful risk assessment before capacity/replication changes
• Reliable follow-through on scheduled maintenance windows
