Storage & Transportation Engineer

Job Responsibilities

Construction Phrase

• Review design of tank farm, pipelines, and product transfer systems.
• Supervise construction of storage tanks, pipelines, and loading/unloading facilities.
• Ensure installation complies with project specifications and safety standards.
• Coordinate with the EPC contractor, vendors, and internal disciplines on construction works.
• Perform inspection, testing, and commissioning of storage and transfer systems.
• Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for tank farm operations.

Production Phrase

• Responsible for end-to-end management of storage, receipt, dispatch, and transfer of oil and chemical products.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety management systems, and emergency response plans for storage and transportation.
• Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and safety inspections of tank farms and loading/unloading facilities.
• Coordinate with production, scheduling, and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in refinery, tank farm, or pipeline projects.
• Experience in tank construction, pipeline installation, and product handling system.
• Familiar with relevant standards and safety regulation.
• Knowledge of testing methods and commissioning processes.
• Familiar with AutoCAD or other similar drawing software, with ability to read and interpret engineering, piping, and layout drawings.
• Experience in equipment/material selection, technical evaluation, and procurement activities.
• Knowledge of inspection, troubleshooting, pressure testing, and maintenance procedures for tanks and pipelines.
• Ability to support pre-commissioning and start-up activities.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or eligible for registration.
• Good command of English and Mandarin is an added advantage.
