About the role

We are seeking a Store Assistant to join our retail team in Penampang, Sabah. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining smooth daily operations within our store. As a Store Assistant, you will be the face of our brand, supporting customers and ensuring our store remains an inviting and well-organised space. This role is essential to creating a positive shopping experience and directly contributes to the success of our retail operations.

What you'll be doing

• Providing friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient customer service to all shoppers
• Assisting customers with product selection and answering inquiries about our merchandise
• Processing customer transactions accurately at the checkout
• Restocking shelves and displays with merchandise in a neat and organised manner
• Maintaining store cleanliness and tidiness throughout the sales floor and storage areas
• Monitoring stock levels and alerting management to items that require replenishment
• Handling and organising incoming deliveries and stock items
• Following company policies and standard operating procedures at all times
• Supporting the store team in achieving sales targets and promotional objectives
• Responding to customer complaints professionally and escalating issues to management where necessary

What we're looking for

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential for enthusiastic candidates
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues
• A friendly, outgoing personality and genuine passion for helping others
• Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues to achieve common goals
• Attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain store standards
• Physical capability to lift and carry merchandise, and stand for extended periods
• Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
• Willingness to follow instructions and adhere to company policies and procedures
• Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Basic numeracy skills for handling cash transactions accurately
