Store Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Store Assistant to join the team at Chuan Seng Huat Liquors Pte. Ltd. in the North Region. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining our warehouse and distribution operations. As a Store Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient movement, storage, and organisation of inventory within our facilities. This role is essential to ensuring that our warehousing operations run smoothly and that products are readily available for distribution to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Receiving, inspecting and verifying incoming inventory shipments against documentation
• Accurately logging stock items into the warehouse management system
• Organising and arranging products on shelves, racks and storage areas according to established guidelines
• Picking and packing orders in preparation for dispatch
• Conducting regular stock counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate records
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the warehouse and storage areas
• Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks (with appropriate certification where required)
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles efficiently and safely
• Assisting with general housekeeping and organisation of warehouse facilities
• Supporting the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience in a warehouse, storage or distribution environment is advantageous
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 kg regularly
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory management
• Ability to follow safety procedures and workplace regulations consistently
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and punctual with a positive work ethic
• Any relevant warehouse or logistics certifications (such as forklift certification) would be highly desirable
