Duties

• Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise retail staff to deliver outstanding customer service and meet sales goals.
• Oversee merchandising, stock replenishment, pricing strategies, and product placement to maximize sales potential.
• Conduct employee orientation, training, and development sessions to enhance team performance and knowledge.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints efficiently, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees.
• Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, returns, and sales reporting while ensuring accuracy in payroll and bookkeeping processes.

Skills

• Strong skills with proven experience in retail store supervision or assistant manager roles.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and manage managerial conversations confidently.
• Proficient in inventory management, stock control, and operational management techniques.
• Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and sales management to drive revenue growth.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
• Demonstrated experience with POS systems, cashiering, cash handling, and retail math calculations.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of retail industry sales team management, marketing strategies, and merchandising principles.
