Store Assistant- Railway / Highway projects

Job Summary

To assist in managing store activities, maintaining accurate stock records, documentation, and coordination of construction materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, checking, and storing materials.
• Maintain inward, outward, and stock records.
• Assist in material issue and receipt documentation.
• Conduct regular physical stock verification.
• Maintain proper filing of store documents.
• Update stock and inventory records using computer/ERP.
• Prepare basic stock and material reports.
• Coordinate with site and project teams for material requirements.
• Follow up on material movement and deliveries.
• Report shortages, damages, or stock discrepancies to the Store In-Charge.
• Assist in maintaining proper records of construction materials, tools, and consumables.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3 to 4 years.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of construction store activities.
• Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Basic inventory management knowledge.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate stock records.

Computer Knowledge

• Good computer knowledge.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
• Experience with ERP/store management software will be an advantage.
