Store Associate

The Store Associate is responsible for delivering excellent customer service and supporting daily retail store operations. This role assists customers with product information and recommendations, processes sales transactions, maintains store cleanliness and food safety standards, and ensures fresh pasta and related products are properly displayed, stored, and rotated.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service at all times.
• Inform customers about fresh pasta, sauces, and related products, including ingredients, preparation, and storage.
• Recommend products based on customer preferences and meal ideas.
• Support store promotions and contribute to daily sales goals.
• Operate POS systems and follow cash-handling procedures.
• Assist with store opening procedures, including preparing work areas, stocking products, and ensuring readiness for daily operations.
• Assist with store closing procedures, including cleaning workstations, securing products, and following closing checklists.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including counters, displays, refrigerators, and customer areas.
• Ensure fresh pasta and related products are properly packaged, labeled, displayed, and refrigerated according to food safety standards.
• Monitor product freshness and report quality concerns to the Store Lead or management.
• Assist with stocking, receiving deliveries, inventory control, and proper product rotation (FIFO).
• Follow all food handling, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with light preparation of samples or packaging under supervision, when applicable.
• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety guidelines at all times.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support store operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Customer Service and/or sales experience, preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to explain product features, ingredients, preparation methods, and storage instructions clearly.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Pay: $11.50 - $12.00 per hour
