Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of retail operations. This role involves engaging with customers, assisting them with their needs, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The Retail Sales Associate will also be responsible for maintaining store presentation and inventory management.

Duties

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with product inquiries.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling transactions accurately.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance the customer experience.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring products are well-stocked.
• Assist in stocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure product availability.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support in their roles.
• Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations during transactions.
• Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Uphold phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries over the phone.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are highly valued for effective communication with diverse customers.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic cashiering responsibilities is essential.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers of all backgrounds.
• Experience in merchandising and stocking practices is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative in individual tasks.
