Store Associate – Maintenance, Janitorial & Kitchen Prep

Position Overview

Arlington Cattle Co. is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Store Associate to assist with the daily upkeep and maintenance of our property, janitorial services, and food preparation for our Burger Stand.

This position plays an important role in ensuring our facility remains clean, organized, safe, and properly maintained while supporting our kitchen team with daily food preparation and operational needs.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, takes pride in their work, can efficiently manage multiple responsibilities, and is willing to assist wherever needed to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Property Maintenance & General Upkeep

• Perform daily inspections and upkeep of the property, including indoor and outdoor areas.
• Maintain clean and presentable building entrances, walkways, parking areas, and surrounding property.
• Remove trash, debris, and litter from the property daily.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks and general property upkeep as directed by management.
• Identify and promptly report maintenance concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards.
• Help maintain outdoor landscaping and property appearance as needed.

Janitorial & Cleaning Services

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of restrooms, dining areas, common spaces, and employee work areas.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Clean windows, doors, countertops, and other frequently touched surfaces.
• Maintain and organize cleaning supplies and janitorial equipment.
• Complete assigned daily, weekly, and deep-cleaning tasks.
• Follow proper cleaning, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures.

Burger Stand Food Preparation

• Assist kitchen staff with daily ingredient preparation before and during operating hours.
• Wash, cut, portion, label, and organize ingredients according to company standards.
• Prepare vegetables, toppings, sauces, and other ingredients as instructed.
• Stock and organize kitchen prep stations, refrigerators, and storage areas.
• Follow proper food storage, rotation, and food safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and sanitized food preparation surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and putting away inventory deliveries.
• Support the kitchen team with additional preparation and cleaning duties as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to perform both indoor and outdoor physical work.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout a shift.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds, with assistance when needed.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a positive work ethic.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

This is a hands-on position requiring someone who is comfortable switching between property maintenance, cleaning responsibilities, and kitchen preparation throughout the workday.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
