Store Development Lead

Help shape the future of Postie’s store network. As our Store Development Lead, you’ll take ownership of store refurbishments, relocations, and development projects across New Zealand, partnering with stakeholders at every level to bring our stores to life.

• Location: Support Office based in Central Auckland (Ellerslie).

• Contract Type: Full-time, permanent.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a newly established role where you’ll play a key role in shaping how we deliver store development projects across the business.

We’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded project manager who takes ownership, builds strong relationships, and brings a hands-on approach to delivering results in a face paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scope, cost, and deliver store development projects including new builds, refurbishments, relocations, and closures.

• Manage contractors, builders, and external partners to ensure all work meets Postie standards.

• Plan and manage a schedule of projects across the financial year, ensuring timelines and milestones are met.

• Oversee scope of works and ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets and quotes.

• Manage CAPEX budgets and store development OPEX, including forecasting requirements.

• Partner closely with the Property team to align on timelines, leasing milestones, and delivery requirements.

• Manage development applications and associated project administration.

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, health & safety standards, and company requirements.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, RDMs, and key stakeholders.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you:

• Bring proven experience in retail store development or project management.

• Have strong contractor and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and deliver outcomes.

• Take ownership and accountability for delivering projects on time and within budget.

• Have strong commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets and cost controls.

• Are highly organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
