STORE EXECUTIVE

About the role

Wah Seng Industry Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a dedicated and organised Store Executive to join our team at our Bukit Mertajam facility in Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the efficient operation and management of our storage and logistics operations. As Store Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory management, warehouse organisation, and the smooth flow of materials and goods within our facility. This role is essential to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and efficiency in our manufacturing and logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily store operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching of materials and finished goods
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts to ensure data integrity and accountability
• Monitor inventory levels and prepare reports on stock movements and variances
• Organise and optimise warehouse layout to ensure efficient space utilisation and easy accessibility of items
• Ensure proper labelling, categorisation, and documentation of all stored materials and products
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to fulfil material requirements and delivery schedules
• Implement and enforce safety standards and best practices within the warehouse environment
• Train and supervise warehouse staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
• Identify and report any discrepancies, damaged goods, or stock-related issues to management
• Generate regular performance reports and analysis on warehouse activities and metrics

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management, inventory control, or store operations
• Strong proficiency in inventory management systems and warehouse management software (WMS)
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to prepare accurate reports and analysis
• Demonstrated ability to work with data and create meaningful insights from warehouse metrics and KPIs
• Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to warehouse and storage operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for reporting and data analysis
• Physical capability to undertake warehouse duties, including lifting and moving items where necessary
