Store Keeper

Job Summary

The Store Keeper is responsible for managing the restaurant’s inventory, ensuring proper storage, and maintaining accurate records of stock levels. This role involves overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of food supplies, kitchen equipment, and other materials to ensure smooth restaurant operations. The Store Keeper must ensure that all items are stored correctly, track usage, and minimize waste or loss.

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management & Stock Control

• Maintain accurate records of all stock levels and ensure proper storage.
• Monitor stock usage and reorder supplies before depletion.
• Conduct regular stock checks and audits to prevent discrepancies.
• Implement First-In, First-Out (FIFO) and First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) methods for food storage.

2. Receiving & Storage of Goods

• Inspect all incoming deliveries for quality, quantity, and expiration dates.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of food and non-food items.
• Verify invoices against delivered goods and report any discrepancies.

3. Waste Reduction & Cost Control

• Monitor inventory to reduce wastage, spoilage, and theft.
• Work closely with kitchen staff to track usage trends and optimize stock levels.
• Ensure efficient use of resources to minimize costs and prevent overstocking.

4. Compliance & Safety

• Maintain a clean, organized, and pest-free storage area.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Keep storage areas at the required temperature and humidity levels.

5. Coordination & Reporting

• Work closely with the procurement, kitchen, and management teams to ensure proper stock availability.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management.
• Assist in forecasting inventory needs based on restaurant demand.

• Proven work experience as a Store Keeper
• Knowledge of basic data entry
• Strong multitasking skills, with ability to work in fast paced environment
• Active listening and effective communication skills
• Flexibility to work in shifts
• Team Player
• Applicants must live within Festac and Victoria Island

Pay: ₦75,000.00 - ₦80,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Store keeper: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
