Job summary

We are seeking a reliable, organised, and detail-oriented Storekeeper to join our team and oversee the efficient management of materials, tools, equipment, and supplies across our construction projects.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, record, and properly store building materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
• Issue materials to authorised personnel based on approved requisitions.
• Monitor stock levels and promptly report low, excess, damaged, or missing items.
• Ensure proper storage, identification, and preservation of materials.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
• Maintain proper documentation for all materials received and issued.
• Monitor the movement of tools and equipment in and out of the store.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Engineer, Procurement, and Accounts teams to ensure effective material control.
• Prevent wastage, loss, theft, and unauthorised use of company materials.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and secure store environment.
• Prepare periodic inventory and stock movement reports.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Storekeeper, preferably within a construction, real estate development, or related industry.
• OND/HND/B.Sc. in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, tools, and site supplies.
• Strong inventory management and record-keeping skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic inventory management systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and maintain proper documentation.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and organisation.
