Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Store Keeper to manage the day-to-day store activities at our IIT – Bhubaneswar project site. The candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining proper records of construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the project store.
• Receive and verify materials delivered to the site against Purchase Orders, Delivery Challans, and Material Requisitions.
• Check the quantity and condition of materials received and report any discrepancies or damages.
• Maintain proper records of material receipts, issues, returns, and stock balances.
• Issue materials to site teams based on approved Material Requisitions / Indents.
• Maintain stock registers, bin cards, material ledgers, and inventory records.
• Ensure proper storage, identification, and systematic arrangement of materials.
• Monitor minimum stock levels and inform the concerned department about material shortages and requirements.
• Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile physical stock with records.
• Maintain records for cement, steel, electrical items, plumbing materials, hardware, tools, consumables, and other construction materials.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Project, Site Engineering, Accounts, and Management teams regarding material requirements and stock status.
• Ensure proper handling and safe storage of materials to prevent damage, wastage, or loss.
• Maintain records of returnable and non-returnable materials issued to contractors or site personnel.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock and consumption reports as required by management.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of delivery challans, material receipts, issue slips, and other store-related documents.
• Assist in maintaining inventory control and material reconciliation at the project site.
• Follow company procedures for store management, safety, and documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Store Keeper / Store Executive.
• Mandatory: Previous stores experience in a construction/project site environment.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, tools, consumables, and inventory management.
• Experience in maintaining stock registers, material receipts, issue records, and inventory documentation.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
• Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with site engineers, purchase teams, vendors, and workers.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently at a project site.
• Candidates who can join immediately or at short notice will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with hands-on experience in construction site stores management, particularly in handling cement, steel, electrical/plumbing materials, hardware, tools, consumables, and other project materials, will be preferred.

Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must have relevant Stores / Store Keeper experience in the construction industry.

Pay: ₹9,200.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
