Job Description (JD) – Store Keeper

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and organised Store Keeper to manage inventory, maintain stock records, and ensure the proper receipt, storage, and issue of materials in a textile manufacturing unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of raw materials, yarn, fabrics, dyes, chemicals, and other consumables.
• Maintain accurate stock registers and inventory records.
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery challans.
• Issue materials to production departments as per authorised requisitions.
• Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor minimum stock levels and coordinate with the purchase department for timely replenishment.
• Ensure proper storage, labelling, and identification of materials.
• Maintain records of inward and outward materials, returns, and damaged stock.
• Coordinate with production, purchase, quality, and accounts departments.
• Ensure housekeeping, safety, and proper utilisation of storage space.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports using Excel or ERP software.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 12th pass, Graduate, or Diploma in a relevant field.
• 2–4 years of experience in storekeeping or inventory management, preferably in the textile industry.
• Knowledge of inventory control, stock reconciliation, and material handling.
• Basic computer knowledge, especially MS Excel and ERP/software systems.
• Good organisational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain proper documentation and coordinate with different departments.

Preferred Candidate

A disciplined and detail-oriented candidate with experience in textile raw material handling, inventory management, and store operations who can ensure accurate stock control and smooth material availability for production.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
