STORE KEEPER

1. Job Summary

Responsible for managing VMD fixtures, inventory, storage operations and stock movements. The role ensures proper inventory control, accurate Excel records, supplier quotation management and timely preparation of fixtures and materials to support store openings, renovations, promotional campaigns and other visual merchandising activities. When storekeeping workload is low, the role also provides hands-on VMD support at outlets, including new store openings, store closures and other assigned VMD projects.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Fixture & Inventory Management

• Manage and maintain all VMD fixtures, including display racks, shoe shelves, mannequins, pedestals, tables, signage stands and other display materials.
• Maintain an updated inventory list with item descriptions, quantities, storage locations and item conditions.
• Organise and label fixtures systematically for easy identification and retrieval.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and investigate stock discrepancies.
• Monitor damaged, missing, obsolete and reusable fixtures.

B. Stock In & Stock Out Management

• Record and monitor all incoming and outgoing fixtures and VMD materials.
• Maintain accurate stock movement records, including quantities, dates, destination outlets, responsible personnel and current stock balances.
• Prepare stock issue records, delivery documentation and fixture return checklists.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding fixture returns from outlets and completed projects.
• Ensure all stock movements are properly documented and authorised.

C.Supplier Sourcing & Quotation Management

• Source suppliers for new fixtures, display equipment and VMD materials.
• Request quotations from suppliers and prepare price comparison reports.
• Compare prices, specifications, dimensions, materials, lead times and delivery costs.
• Maintain an updated supplier database and historical fixture pricing records.
• Coordinate with suppliers on product availability, production status and delivery arrangements.
• Identify opportunities to reuse, repair or refurbish existing fixtures to reduce costs.
• Submit quotations and recommendations to the Head of VMD for approval before purchase commitments are made.

D. Store Operations & Maintenance

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe VMD storage area.
• Ensure fixtures are stored, packed and handled properly to prevent damage.
• Arrange fixtures according to category and designated storage locations.
• Coordinate fixture loading, transportation, delivery and collection.
• Monitor storage capacity and report any space or maintenance issues.

E. VMD Project Support

• Prepare fixtures and materials for new store openings, renovations, promotional campaigns and store display changes.
• Ensure all requested items are ready according to the agreed project timeline.
• Coordinate with VMD team members, outlet personnel, suppliers and transport teams.
• Inspect returned fixtures and update inventory records after project completion.
• Provide support for VMD operational tasks when storekeeping duties are not required or when workload permits.
• Travel to outlets as assigned to support new store openings, store closures, renovations, fixture installation, dismantling and other VMD-related activities.
• Assist the VMD team with setting up, arranging, moving and removing fixtures and display materials at outlets.
• Follow instructions from the Head of VMD and project team to ensure outlet project tasks are completed according to the required timeline and standards.
• Support urgent fixture requests according to approved priorities.

F. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and maintain inventory trackers, stock movement reports and supplier quotation comparisons using Microsoft Excel.
• Prepare monthly inventory summaries covering stock balances, damaged items, outstanding returns and new purchases.
• Maintain proper records of quotations, stock requests, delivery orders and other relevant documents.
• Monitor stock levels and highlight replenishment requirements to the Head of VMD.

3. Job Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in storekeeping, warehouse operations, inventory control or retail operations is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, sorting, filtering, basic formulas and inventory tracking.
• Good organisational, coordination and record-keeping skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
• Able to communicate effectively with suppliers, outlet teams and internal departments.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks according to deadlines
• Physically fit to handle and arrange fixtures and materials when required.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
