STORE KEEPER (CONSTRUCTION )

Key Responsibilities

Material & Inventory Management

• Receive and Inspect: Verify incoming materials (e.g., cement, steel, bitumen, geotextiles, HDPE pipes, aggregate) against purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoice quantities. Check for quality and damage.
• Storage Optimization: Ensure proper storage of sensitive materials according to project specs (e.g., protecting cement from moisture, securing fuel/lubricants, organizing mechanical spares for irrigation equipment).
• Inventory Control: Maintain optimum stock levels using inventory systems (like ERP, SAP, or MS Excel) to prevent both overstocking and project delays due to material shortages.
• Material Issuance: Issue materials, safety gear (PPE), and tools to site supervisors and subcontractors only against authorized material requisition slips.

Documentation & Compliance

• Logistics Tracking: Maintain accurate Gate Passes, Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Vouchers (MIV), and daily stock registers.
• Departmental Reporting: Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly stock reconciliation statements to the Project Manager and Head Office.
• Scrap & Surplus Management: Document and manage scrap materials, empty cement bags, or damaged equipment for disposal or return.

Site Coordination & Safety

• Security & Vigilance: Implement strict security measures to prevent theft, pilferage, or unauthorized entry into the store premises.
• Audit Support: Facilitate periodic physical stock verification and audits conducted by internal or external teams.
• Safety Standards: Maintain high standards of housekeeping, fire safety, and hazard control within the warehouse or open yard.

Specific Requirements for WRD, RCD, & Irrigation Projects

• Material Familiarity: Must have specialized knowledge of infrastructure materials such as reinforcement steel, structural steel, aggregates, bitumen, concrete admixtures, canal lining sheets, shuttering materials, heavy machinery spares (excavators, batching plants, pavers), and piping networks.
• Vast Site Layouts: Ability to manage multiple sub-stores or open yards stretched across miles of canal routes or highway stretches.

Qualifications & Skills

EducationGraduate in any discipline / Diploma in Material Management / Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience - 3 to 10+ years of store-keeping experience strictly within infrastructure, roads, highways, canals, or dam projects.

Software Skills - Proficiency in NWAY ERP

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
