Store Lead

Remix Market is looking for an enthusiastic and driven retail store leader to support our store operations and deliver an exceptional customer experience. This is a hands-on role that touches everything from sorting and staging donated items to listing them online, maintaining eye-catching in-store displays, and engaging with our community across social media. The Remix Market retail store leader supports the marketing and business-building activities, visual and multimedia merchandising, and day-to-day sales operations of the store. This person helps post, promote, and coordinate the transfer, purchasing, and pickup of items sold through Remix Market's in-store and online channels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities, Operations & Inventory

• Follow established store procedures for opening and closing, accepting and sorting donated items, and cash handling.
• Process donated items from intake to sale: staging, photographing, pricing, and selecting the appropriate sales outlet based on condition, brand, target demographics, and item value - including collectibles, artwork, antiques, and high-end home furnishings.
• Assist with timely inventory rotation and disbursement of items to non-profit partners and those in need.
• Handle sales transactions (cash, check, credit card) accurately and in accordance with established cash handling and PCI DSS compliance standards.
• Stay current on resale, thrift, and retail trends and apply relevant knowledge to day-to-day store operations.
• Support for listing items on eCommerce marketplaces, with a focus on collectibles and high-value pieces to maximize profitability.
• Perform limited cleaning duties related to store upkeep and maintaining a positive retail shopping experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Marketing & Customer Engagement

• Execute in-store promotions, marketing campaigns, and sales programs to drive foot traffic and revenue.
• Build and maintain a consistent social media presence through regular posts, stories, and community engagement across Instagram and Facebook.
• Post items accurately to social media and eCommerce platforms and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Manage Facebook Marketplace postings and pick-up with clients.
• Coordinate pickup times and open hours to ensure client visits are properly staffed and run smoothly.
• Set up and refresh in-store displays to showcase products and enhance the customer experience, adjusting layouts as inventory changes.
• Execute Marketing Plans on social media platforms such as Facebook, Tiktok and Instagram.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Motivated self-starter with a drive for results and a strong sense of urgency.
• High standard of performance with the ability to stay organized in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills: clear verbal and written communication, active listening, a positive attitude, and solid problem-solving ability.
• Comfortable with producing content for social media platforms, digital photography, and online marketplace tools.
• Familiarity with visual merchandising, promotional, and sales techniques.
• Knowledge of antique or modern furniture, collectibles, electronics, books, vintage or designer clothing, and the secondhand online marketplace industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of secondhand marketplace pricing techniques is a plus.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a bonus.

Education & Experience

Minimum high school diploma or GED. At least one year of progressively responsible experience in a retail environment, or any equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Consignment experience is a plus.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
