Job Summary

Roy'zzz Premium Cannabis is seeking a dependable, guest-focused Store Manager to lead all aspects of daily dispensary operations, team performance, compliance, inventory accuracy, cash management, and overall store readiness.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can take full ownership of the store, lead from the floor, develop and hold team members accountable, and ensure consistent execution of Roy'zzz operational and guest experience standards. The Store Manager will be responsible for creating a welcoming, compliant, professional, and high-performing retail environment while driving both team and store success.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day dispensary operations, including store opening and closing, shift execution, staffing, sales floor management, and overall store readiness.
• Take ownership of store performance and ensure company expectations, policies, SOPs, and operational standards are consistently followed.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, at check-in, at the register, and throughout all guest interactions.
• Manage, coach, develop, and hold team members accountable for performance, attendance, professionalism, compliance, and guest service.
• Oversee employee onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, coaching, and ongoing team development.
• Develop future leaders within the store by identifying high-potential employees and providing ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
• Create a positive, accountable, and team-oriented store culture that reflects Roy'zzz values and experience standards.
• Drive store sales performance, guest retention, operational efficiency, and achievement of company-established KPIs and goals.
• Monitor store performance and identify opportunities to improve sales, productivity, labor efficiency, guest experience, and overall operations.
• Resolve escalated guest concerns, product questions, service issues, and other store-level challenges professionally and effectively.
• Ensure all ID checks, purchase limits, product handling requirements, medical card requirements, sales procedures, and other regulatory requirements are followed.
• Maintain audit and inspection readiness by ensuring accurate records, logs, documentation, compliance procedures, and store organization.
• Oversee inventory receiving, organization, cycle counts, reconciliation, product movement, inventory accuracy, and shrink prevention.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.
• Oversee cash handling procedures, drawer counts, deposits, POS accuracy, discounts, returns, voids, and loss prevention procedures.
• Manage labor scheduling and staffing levels based on business needs while maintaining appropriate store coverage.
• Ensure the store remains clean, safe, secure, organized, properly merchandised, and guest-ready at all times.
• Partner with company leadership on store performance, staffing needs, compliance concerns, inventory issues, maintenance needs, and operational improvements.
• Communicate store results, challenges, staffing concerns, and opportunities to leadership in a timely and professional manner.
• Respond appropriately to incidents, security concerns, regulatory matters, and other operational issues that may arise.
• Foster strong communication and collaboration between store leadership, team members, inventory, operations, and company leadership.
• Perform additional duties and support company initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any state-required cannabis worker badge, registration, or license where applicable.
• 3+ years of retail leadership or management experience preferred, including direct responsibility for team performance and store operations.
• Previous Store Manager, General Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or comparable retail leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Cannabis retail experience preferred; pharmacy, alcohol, banking, hospitality, luxury retail, or other highly regulated industry experience is also valued.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, developing, and holding employees accountable.
• Experience with recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, and employee development.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, guest experience, sales performance, KPIs, inventory control, and loss prevention.
• Strong communication, leadership, decision-making, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
• High attention to detail with a compliance-first mindset.
• Comfortable using POS systems, inventory management systems, scheduling tools, and basic reporting platforms.
• Ability to analyze store performance and identify opportunities for operational and sales improvements.
• Ability to handle guest and employee concerns professionally, calmly, and consistently.
• Ability to work independently, make sound operational decisions, and take ownership of store-level results.
• Must be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and changing retail schedules based on business needs.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, in-person retail management position.
• Schedule may include mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
• The Store Manager is expected to maintain flexibility based on staffing levels, business needs, and operational requirements.
• Work takes place in a fast-paced, highly regulated cannabis retail environment.
• This role oversees multiple store workflows depending on location, including sales floor operations, check-in, registers, inventory, secure storage, fulfillment, deli-style service, and pre-pack operations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds as needed.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
• Ability to operate standard retail equipment, POS systems, and inventory tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, employees, vendors, inspectors, regulators, and company leadership in both verbal and written formats.
