Ace Tailors is seeking a capable and motivated Store Manager to lead daily operations and support company growth. This position is responsible for supervising staff, ensuring top-quality customer service, and maintaining operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a background in tailoring, and a commitment to a smooth and successful store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct expert fittings and provide tailoring consultations to clients
• Accurately price and assign alterations to appropriate staff
• Manage staff scheduling, including arranging substitutes for absent employees
• Communicate store supply and operational needs to the Operations Manager
• Track inventory and perform end-of-day sales and cashier reconciliation
• Oversee garment quality control and ensure timely completion of alterations
• Conduct skills assessments and technical tests for prospective tailors
• Supervise and evaluate store staff, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions
• Serve as the primary liaison between clients and tailoring staff
• Ensure machinery is maintained and functional

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong planning, time management, and multitasking abilities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Professional, approachable, and solution-oriented demeanor
• Proficiency in using POS systems and basic office software
• Ability to coach and guide tailors on alteration techniques
• Skilled in conflict resolution and team leadership

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of management experience
• Basic tailoring skills required
• Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
