Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all store activities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and exceptional customer service.
• Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees, providing comprehensive training on store policies, sales techniques, POS systems, and customer engagement.
• Manage employee schedules, shift assignments, and payroll processing to optimize staffing levels and operational efficiency.
• Oversee inventory management including stock ordering, purchasing, stock replenishment, inventory control, and shrink reduction strategies.
• Implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance product presentation and maximize sales opportunities.
• Handle cash management duties such as cashiering, cash handling procedures, balancing registers, and preparing daily financial reports.
• Develop and execute marketing initiatives to boost store traffic and sales performance.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, manage budgets, and monitor store expenses to meet financial targets.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and legal requirements across all store functions.
• Foster a team-oriented environment by providing ongoing training & development opportunities, coaching staff on sales techniques, customer service excellence, and leadership skills.
• Utilize management tools such as POS systems for transactions and inventory tracking; oversee pricing strategies aligned with market trends.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations; motivate team members through recognition programs; resolve conflicts effectively.
• Promote a positive shopping experience by maintaining excellent phone etiquette and communication skills with customers and team members alike.

Experience

• Proven management experience in retail environments with demonstrated success in supervising teams and managing daily operations.
• Strong background in retail sales management, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service excellence.
• Experience with employee orientation, interviewing candidates, recruiting top talent, and developing staff through training & development initiatives.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping practices, budgeting processes, and payroll administration.
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
• Prior experience in grocery stores or similar retail sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Exceptional organizational skills combined with strong communication abilities to lead teams efficiently while maintaining high standards of store presentation and customer satisfaction. Pay: $46,346.41 - $55,815.02 per year
