About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our Darwin NT location. This is a full-time position based in Darwin NT 0800, where you will oversee all aspects of store operations and drive business performance. As Store Manager, you will be the strategic leader of your store, responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, managing team performance, and achieving sales and profitability targets. This role is pivotal to our success in the Darwin market and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the store's performance and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and visual merchandising
• Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, including recruitment, training, and performance management
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators through effective sales strategies and staff engagement
• Manage stock levels, orders, and supplier relationships to ensure product availability and cost efficiency
• Deliver outstanding customer service standards and resolve customer concerns to ensure satisfaction and loyalty
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant store environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth
• Implement marketing initiatives and promotions to increase brand awareness and drive store traffic
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and the local community
• Report on store performance and provide regular updates to senior management

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in retail store management, previous experience but not necessary within the automotive, tyre services, or related sectors
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop team members
• Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving profitability
• Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to build lasting customer relationships
• Sound knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and point-of-sale systems
• Strong organisational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities
• Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial reporting
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing business requirements
• Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels
• A commitment to health and safety compliance and a proactive approach to risk management
• Ideally, experience in the automotive or tyre industry would be advantageous
