About the role

A Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, sales performance, customer service, and profitability of a Home Depot retail store. The role involves leading associates and department supervisors, ensuring an excellent customer experience, maintaining inventory and merchandising standards, and achieving company sales and operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory, merchandising, and safety.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop associates and department leaders to achieve performance goals.
• Drive sales and profitability by implementing company strategies and monitoring key performance indicators.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Manage inventory levels, product availability, shrink, receiving, and proper merchandise presentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Analyze store performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement action plans.
• Create staffing schedules and ensure appropriate coverage based on customer and business needs.
• Partner with district and regional leadership to execute company initiatives and achieve business objectives.
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and productive work environment.

About you

• Previous retail management or leadership experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience managing and developing a large team.
• Ability to analyze sales and operational performance metrics.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in home improvement, hardware, building materials, or a related retail environment is an advantage.
