About us

Super Natural Eatery Pty Ltd operates a number of hospitality venues across Perth.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of Bon Ton Cafe in Perth CBD.

This is a full-time management position with responsibility for the overall operation of the cafe, including staff management, customer service, stock control, purchasing, financial performance, compliance and operational standards.

About the role

As Store Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring Bon Ton operates efficiently, maintains high standards of food and customer service, and achieves its operational and financial objectives.

You will lead the cafe team and work closely with senior management to maintain service standards, manage labour and operating costs, oversee stock and purchasing, and ensure the venue operates safely and effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the cafe.
• Select, train, supervise and support front-of-house and kitchen staff.
• Prepare and manage staff rosters to meet operational requirements.
• Monitor staff performance and maintain appropriate service standards.
• Manage stock levels, ordering and inventory controls.
• Arrange the purchasing of goods and supplies in accordance with budgets and operational requirements.
• Monitor costs, sales and other financial transactions and maintain appropriate records.
• Assist with budgeting, cost control and achievement of store performance targets.
• Ensure food and beverage quality and presentation standards are consistently maintained.
• Ensure the cafe and dining areas comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean, functional and professional cafe environment.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and respond appropriately to customer feedback or complaints.
• Work with the kitchen and senior management on menu planning, pricing and product offerings where required.
• Plan and coordinate functions, catering or special events where applicable.
• Ensure company procedures, operational standards and policies are followed.
• Provide hands-on leadership during service periods as required.

Skills and experience required

The successful applicant will have:

• At least 3 years’ previous experience managing or assisting in the management of a busy cafe, restaurant or similar hospitality venue.
• Strong staff leadership, training and supervision skills.
• Experience with rostering and day-to-day staff management.
• Experience with stock control, purchasing and supplier management.
• An understanding of cafe financial performance, budgets, labour costs and cost control.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage a busy hospitality venue and maintain high standards during peak service periods.
• A Diploma-level or higher qualification and/or substantial relevant industry experience.
