Store Manager – Food & Quick-Service Restaurant

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Store Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management and successful operation of our busy food store.

As Store Manager, you will play a key role in leading the team, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining high food and hygiene standards, and ensuring the store operates efficiently and profitably.

This is a hands-on management role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong leadership skills and is passionate about delivering a great experience for both customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities

* Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store.

* Lead, motivate and develop a team of employees to achieve high standards.

* Recruit, train and support new and existing team members.

* Create staff rotas and manage staffing levels effectively according to business needs.

* Ensure excellent customer service is delivered consistently.

* Maintain high standards of food quality, preparation, presentation and service.

* Ensure all food safety, health & safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times.

* Monitor stock levels, place orders and minimise waste and unnecessary costs.

* Manage cash handling, banking and daily financial procedures.

* Monitor sales, labour costs and other key performance indicators.

* Identify opportunities to improve sales, profitability and customer satisfaction.

* Deal confidently and professionally with customer queries and complaints.

* Ensure the store is clean, organised, safe and presented to a high standard.

* Carry out regular checks and ensure company policies and procedures are followed.

* Manage performance, attendance and conduct within the team fairly and professionally.

* Lead by example and be willing to support the team during busy periods.

* Work closely with senior management/owners to achieve business targets.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

* Has previous experience in a management or supervisory role, ideally within food, hospitality, retail or a fast-paced customer service environment.

* Is confident leading and motivating a team.

* Has excellent communication and people-management skills.

* Is organised and able to prioritise effectively in a busy environment.

* Has a strong understanding of customer service.

* Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and presentation.

* Is commercially aware and understands the importance of sales, costs and profitability.

* Can remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.

* Is reliable, professional and leads by example.

* Has a positive attitude and a genuine desire to develop their team and the business.

* Is flexible and willing to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends where required.
